Twelve metres of secure storage that opens at both ends: the 40ft end to end tunnel shipping container puts a full set of cargo doors at each end of the unit, so nothing ever has to be unloaded simply to reach something behind it. On a long container that advantage is considerable — a forklift can enter one end and exit the other, and two teams can work from opposite ends without getting in each other’s way. The shell is durable Corten steel, fully wind and watertight, and equally suited to storage, transport or a custom build.

Key Features

  • Double cargo doors at both ends, each pair fitted with heavy-duty locking bars, cams and keepers
  • Drive-through access for forklifts and telehandlers, eliminating double handling on long loads
  • Durable Corten weathering steel body with corrugated panels and a water-shedding corrugated roof
  • Weatherproof, wind and water tight, with factory gaskets on all eight door leaves
  • Marine-grade plywood floor over steel cross-members for heavy point loads and wheeled traffic
  • Safety screened and hazmat-free before dispatch
  • ISO corner castings and standard 40ft handling points for craning and secure transport

Ideal For

Contractors and merchants use 40ft tunnels as drive-through material stores; farms load bales, fencing and feed from the field and draw stock from the yard end; hire companies keep long items such as scaffold tube, ladders and timber where both ends can be reached. In conversion work the layout lends itself to corridor schemes — welfare blocks with a walk-through route, split workshops, mobile exhibitions and equipment stores divided into two secure halves with a partition wall.

Delivery Across the UK

Forty-foot units require substantially more room than a 20ft: a straight, firm approach of around 25 metres and clearance for a long articulated vehicle. We deliver across the UK by tilt-bed or, where the site cannot take a reversing trailer, by HIAB crane. Confirm which end you want facing the working area when you book and we will set the container down the right way round first time.
